๐‘๐š๐ก๐ž๐ฅ ๐‡๐ž๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฒ has over 12 years experience in coordinating and leading different Natural Resource Conservation projects.
Rahel is a senior pharmacist, an Agribusiness Entrepreneur and an advocate for Sustainable Agricultural business for social and personal development.

She is the founder and Managing Director of ๐ƒ๐š๐ฆ๐š๐ฌ๐œ๐ž๐ง๐ž Essential Oil.
Inspired by the history of the use of aromatic plants in the Ethiopian culture, Damascene Essential Oil Processing PLC produces and supplies Essential oils, herbs, spices and other body care products.

As part of its efforts to bridge the gender gap and to ensure that raw materials are readily available to feed the product needs, Damascene supports ten (10) women cooperatives with 3000 women farmers to plant more than 15 types of spices including: Green cardamom, Lemon verbena, Rue, Lavender, Turmeric, Pepper mint Koseret which cover up to 2000 hectares.

Rahel has a working relationship and partnership with Wondo Genet Agricultural Research Centre to conduct research into the benefits of essential oils and its promising economic potential.
She is also the founder and a board member of the Spices and Herbs Growers and Processors Association and six times jury member of the Entrepreneurs Business Plan Contest of Fresh Agricultural University Graduates.

Her expertise and knowledge in the spices sub-sector industry won her the invitation to participate in the development of the โ€œSPICES INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIC PLAN 2015-2025โ€.
