Damascene, a woman owned company, provides an income for 3000 smallholder Ethiopian WOMEN farmers. They grow organic indigenous herbs & spices around their homesteads on highly fertile soil in a protected UNESCO native forest biosphere (no chemicals are allowed) in the Kaffa region (famous for coffee – spices & coffee grow symbiotically under the forest canopy).
